Man killed in McHenry crash

(McHENRY) A man was killed in a crash Monday evening in northwest suburban McHenry.

John Thomas Oliver IV, 39, died after a car crashed into a tree about 5 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Curran Road, according to a statement from the McHenry County Coroner’s office.

Oliver, of McHenry, died of multiple injuries due to blunt force trauma in the crash, according to the coroner’s office. Toxicology results are pending.

McHenry police did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
