Chicago Police issued a warning Tuesday about a person believed to have committed at least three recent sexual assaults in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The suspect, a male of unknown age, approaches a victim from behind and either shows a handgun or implies he has one, then uses a piece of clothing to cover the victim’s head and force them into a vehicle, where the assault occurs, according to a community alert from Area South detectives.

At least three attacks have happened in the area between West 124th Street and West 129th Place on South Parnell Avenue, police said, though the exact locations and times were not available.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10, 200-pound black male with a light to medium complexion, police said. During one of the attacks, he wore a black North Face jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8271.
