SHARE TreeHouse Foods hires Walgreen exec to be chief strategy officer

TreeHouse Foods Inc. has hired former Walgreen Co. executive Rachel R. Bishop to be its senior vice president and chief strategy officer.

Bishop was most recently a group vice president of retail development for Deerfield-based Walgreen. She previously worked at McKinsey & Co.

“We are excited to have Rachel join TreeHouse during this time of great growth for our company,” chairman, president and CEO Sam K. Reed said. “She has enjoyed a wide ranging and relevant career as both a management consultant and retailing executive which positions her well to make significant contributions at TreeHouse.”

Oak Brook-based TreeHouse supplies a range of private-label food and drinks to the retail and food-service industries. Its products include non-dairy, powdered creamer; single-serve hot beverages; specialty teas; salsa and Mexican sauces; and, jams and pie fillings.
