The suspect entered the TCF Bank branch in the 6300 block of West 55th Street about 1:30 p.m., and passed the teller a note implying he had a weapon and demanding cash, according to police and the FBI.

He escaped with an unknown amount of money, police said. No weapon was shown and no one was hurt.

He is described as a Hispanic male, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, authorities said. He was wearing a baseball cap, blue sweater and blue jeans.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
