A man was wounded in an apparent drive-by attack Thursday morning in Uptown.

The shooting happened about 7:15 a.m. in the 4600 block of North Racine Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.

The man, thought to be in his 20s, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in an apparent drive-by, Sullivan said. He was taken in “stable” condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
