A man was injured Sunday afternoon in a Washington Heights neighborhood shooting on the Far South Side.

The 19-year-old man was shot in the left leg about 2 p.m. in the 10100 block of South Emerald Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney, citing preliminary information.

The man was listed in “stable” condition, but hospital information was not immediately available, Sweeney said.
