Chicago Police are warning Hyde Park residents of a recent increase in armed robberies in the South Side neighborhood.

Robberies have occurred in the 5600-5700 blocks between South Stony Island Avenue and South Everett Drive, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

At least one robber walks up to victims with a handgun, police said.

All three suspects are described as black males between 16-18, between 5-foot-6 and 6-foot tall and 150-160 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8380.
