4 shot in Humboldt Park

Four people — three men and a woman — were shot early Saturday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The four were in a vehicle traveling westbound in the 3300 block of West Beach Avenue about 2:20 a.m., when they heard shots ring out and realized they each had been struck, police said.

They then drove themselves to Norwegian American Hospital, police said.

The 19-year-old woman was shot in the left leg; an 18-year-old man was shot in the back; a 20-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to both arms; and a third man, 21, was shot in the right shoulder, police said. All four were listed in “stable” condition.

Police believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
