Man shot in Burnside

A man was shot early Sunday in the Burnside neighborhood on the South Side.

The 37-year-old man told police he was walking home in the 9300 block of South Greenwood Avenue when he realized he was shot in the elbow a few minutes before 4 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

Someone drove him to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he is being treated, Gaines said.
