Man shot in McKinley Park

A man was shot in the McKinley Park neighborhood Thursday night on the South Side.

The 18-year-old man was sitting in a garage with several other males about 10:10 p.m. in the 3300 block of South Leavitt Street, when a dark-colored sedan drove through the alley and shots were fired, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left calf and was taken in “stable” condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Alfaro said. No one else was injured in the shooting.
