A man was wounded Monday night in a Logan Square neighborhood drive-by shooting on the Northwest Side.

The 22-year-old man was shot while he was standing in an alley about 7:45 p.m. in the 2500 block of North Lawndale Avenue, police said. A white SUV approached and a male occupant fired a handgun in the man’s direction.

The SUV then sped away, police said. The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in “stable” condition, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
