SHARE Police warn about robberies on South Side

Police issued an alert Saturday after three people were robbed over a two day span in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The robberies occurred between June 15 and 17, according to statement from Chicago Police. In each robbery, two to four suspects approach a person and take property by force, police said.

The first robbery happened on June 15 about 11 a.m. in the 1300 block of West 52nd Street. Another robbery occurred about five hours later, in the 5400 block of South Loomis Boulevard, police said. Two days later, on June 17, a person was robbed in the 1500 block of West 52nd Street.

Police said the robbers are black males, 14 to 18 years of age, stand about 5-feet to 6-foot-1 and weigh 120 to 160 pounds.
