A man was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday on the West Side.

The shooting happened in the 4300 block of West Adams Street about 11:45 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.

Officers responded and found the man, whose age was not immediately available, shot in the right leg, Estrada said.

The man was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said.
