(VERNON HILLS) Several homes and vehicles in north suburban Vernon Hills were burglarized during the early morning hours Thursday.

The burglaries occurred in three subdivisions off Route 45 between 2 and 4 a.m., according to Vernon Hills police.

Six robberies were reported in the 300 blocks of LaSalle Street and Ranney Avenue in the Centennial Crossing subdivision, police said. Another happened in the 1000 block of Sanctuary Court in Sanctuary Point, and one occurred in the 800 block of Writer Court in the Writer Estates subdivision.

Residents were home at the time of the robberies, but no one was hurt, a statement from police said.

Investigators are trying to determine if the incidents are connected.

“Someone who was in the area at the time might be able to provide valuable information,” Deputy Chief Richard Davies said in the statement.
