Officers arrested a man after they saw him firing shots at another man Tuessay morning in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side, according to Chicago Police.

The 3rd District officers were on patrol when they heard gunshots and saw a man firing at another person about 9:25 a.m. in the 6400 block of South King Drive, police said.

The officers began chasing the shooter, and took him into custody, police said. A firearm was recovered.

It was not clear whether the officers fired shots, but no one was injured in the incident, police said.

The suspect, a 22-year-old man, is in custody and charges are pending.
