Walgreens is changing its address on the Mag Mile.

The Deerfield-based drugstore chain will open a new flagship store June 25 in the north tower of the recently updated Wrigley Building. The company will close its store at 430 N. Michigan St. on June 24, the company confirmed Wednesday.

The company reported May sales of $6.57 billion, a 6 percent increase from a year earlier. Merchandise sales rose 2.6 percent at stores open at least 13 months, while pharmacy sales rose 5.5 percent.

Walgreens opened eight stores last month, including one relocation, acquired one and closed 23. Nearly all of the May store closings were part of the company’s previously announced plan to close 76 drugstores during the second half of fiscal 2014.

On May 31, Walgreens operated 8,216 drugstores, 120 more than a year ago.
