Man shot in South Shore

A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 20-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 7300 block of South Kenwood Avenue about 12:30 p.m. when a group walked up and someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.

The man was shot in the left arm and taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center in “stable” condition, Sullivan said.
