The Chicago Fire Department is conducting a training exercise involving smoke and flames at O’Hare International Airport on Thursday morning.

A report of smoke at the airport was actually a controlled propane blaze for training purposes only, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.

“It’s just a pretend crash site,” Langford said.
