Wintrust Financial Corp. is scouting for banks to acquire in Northwest Indiana as more of its business customers expand or move to nearby states. Wehmer tells Wintrust already has a presence north of the border in Wisconsin and expects to complete a deal with Talmer Bancorp Inc. for 11 branch offices in the third quarter.
