A 15-year-old boy was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Friday morning.
The teen was shot in the abdomen in a vacant lot in the 4000 block of West Maypole Avenue just before 11 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition has stabilized, Estrada said.
