SHARE Police investigating West Side garage burglaries

Police are alerting residents in the North and South Lawndale neighborhood about a string of garage burglaries that happened last month.

In each case, at least one person broke into garages, damaged parked cars inside, and stole property from the vehicles and garages, Area Central detectives said in a community alert.

The locations and dates of the burglaries include:

-the 4300 Block of West 25th Street on June 9

-the 2800 Block of South Kildare Avenue on June 15

-the 2400 Block of South Ridgeway Avenue on June 16

-the 2800 Block of South Kolin Avenue on June 24.

-the 2800 Block of South Tripp Avenue on June 26

The first three burglaries noted above occurred during the morning hours; the others took place in the evening.

Police are asking anyone with information on the burglaries to contact detectives at (312) 747-8382.
