Man shot in leg in Evanston

(EVANSTON) A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in north suburban Evanston.

The shooting happened in the 2000 block of Dodge Avenue at 12:55 p.m., according to Evanston police.

A 21-year-old Evanston man was shot in the leg and taken to NorthShore University HealthSystem Evanston Hospital, police said.

Dodge Avenue is closed temporarily between Foster and Simpson streets for the investigation, police said.

No one is in custody, police said.
