A man was shot Friday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened in the 6900 block of South Vernon at 1:30 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon.

The 26-year-old man walked into Saint Bernard’s Hosiptal with a gunshot wound to the right foot, Lemmon said. He is listed in good condition.
