A man was shot multiple times early Sunday in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

The 24-year-old man was outside in the 8700 block of South Union about 1:50 a.m. when someone walked up and opened fire, police said.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to both of his legs and his buttocks and was taken to Christ Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man has gang affiliations.
