Woman shot in Little Village

A woman was shot and seriously wounded Thursday night in the Little Village neighborhood.

The woman, 24, was on a porch with friends in the 2100 block of South Marshall about 10:15 p.m. when someone got out of a dark-colored vehicle and opened fire, police said. The woman was shot in the leg and chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
