Lee McCollum, one of the Fenger Academy High School student who was featured on the CNN series “Chicagoland” was shot and wounded Saturday, his family said.

Here’s a clip where he was honored by Principal Liz Dozer.

“I never thought I would give this person because we had some tough times back in the first and second year,” she said.

But his biggest problem then? Too many potential prom dates.
