A south suburban man died after he was shot in the head in a Roseland neighborhood alley Saturday morning on the Far South Side.

Martell Robinson, 20, was discovered by a resident in an alley in the 9700 block of South Forest at 8:12 a.m. Saturday, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He had been shot in the back of the head, authorities said.

Robinson, of the 300 block of West 35th Street in Steger, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 7:33 a.m. Monday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Thursday found he died of a gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
