SHARE Police: Four robberies reported in New City in last month

Chicago Police are warning South Side residents after a string of robberies in the New City neighborhood over the last month.

In the four reported robberies, two people have walked up to victims and physically attacked them or implied they have a weapon, according to a community alert from Deering District police.

The incidents were reported:

–in the 4900 block of South Damen about 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 27;

–in the 4800 block of South Damen about 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 27;

–in the 5100 block of South Racine about 6 p.m. on Sept. 4 and about 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 7.
