Motorola Mobility and Verizon Wireless are expected to unveil a new Droid smartphone that’s selling point will be how fast it can be recharged.

The new Droid “satisfies a segment of Verizon customers still loyal to the brand, while giving Motorola a secondary revenue stream beyond its core Moto line of smartphones,” CNet says. An announcement might come in October.

AndroidAuthority.com is calling the new phone, “Droid Turbo.”
