Man shot in Back of the Yards

A man was shot Friday evening in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 35-year-old man was shot in the thigh about 8 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Damen, police said.

Police said he may have been involved in a fight with someone, when that person pulled out a gun and opened fire.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
