Airlines at O’Hare Airport canceled more than 100 flights Sunday night after snow hit Chicago and the East Coast.

While normal operations were underway at O’Hare, 105 flights were canceled at the airport as of 8:30 p.m. Sunday, with a few of those because of poor East Coast weather, according to the city’s Department of Aviation.

Midway was not experiencing any delays, the department said.

Snow totals for Sunday came in just under an inch at O’Hare and a quarter of an inch at Midway, said Andy Krein, of the National Weather Service.

Monday’s forecast calls for, light snow to fall about noon, Krein said.

“By Monday evening, we can expect patchy, freezing drizzle in the metro Chicago area,” Krein said. “Actual snow total amounts will not even be an inch.”

Meanwhile, the city Department of Streets and Sanitation redeployed the full snowplow fleet — more than 280 vehicles — Sunday afternoon. Plows will focus on salting and clearing side and residential streets throughout Sunday afternoon and evening.
