A Northwestern University student told authorities she was sexually assaulted Monday evening in her dorm room on the school’s north suburban Evanston campus.

The student had spoken with the suspect and met him at a CTA station in Evanston, according to a security alert posted on Northwestern’s website.

The pair then went to her dorm room, where the male sexually assaulted her between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the alert said.

The suspect is not thought to be affiliated with the school in any way, the alert said. His description was not given.
