A man was injured in a deck collapse at a West Ridge apartment complex on the North Side Saturday morning.

Crews responded about 10:40 a.m. to the collapse at a three-story building in the 6300 block of North Albany, according to police and fire officials.

A 60-year-old man was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston with injuries that weren’t thought to be life-threatening, police said.

Firefighters had to assist residents out of the building through back windows, fire officials said.

The cause of the collapse was unknown Saturday afternoon.
