DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, 2015

In the morning, the President will meet with Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Guinean President Alpha Condé, and Sierra Leonean President Ernest Bai Koroma; the Vice President will also attend. The President will discuss with his West African counterparts the progress made in the international Ebola response to-date. They also will review how the United States can continue to partner with the region to pursue our ultimate goal of getting to zero Ebola cases, turn our sights to long-term economic recovery, and establish capacity to prevent future outbreaks from becoming epidemics. There will be a pool spray at the top of this meeting in the Cabinet Room.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina. The departure from the South Lawn is open press and the arrival at the North Carolina Air National Guard Base is open to pre-credentialed media.

While in Charlotte, the President will participate in a town hall with BlogHer and SheKnows about working families issues at ImaginOn, an educational library and theatre arts center. The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media. The entire event will be streamed live atWhiteHouse.gov/live.

Following the town hall, the President will depart Charlotte en route Washington, DC. The departure from the North Carolina Air National Guard Base is open to pre-credentialed media, and the arrival on the South Lawn is open press.
