A man suffered a gunshot wound that may have been self-inflicted Tuesday morning in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The incident happened in the 7900 block of South Parnell at 9:24 a.m., police said.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the hand and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. His condition was not immediately known.

Police said the wound may have been self-inflicted.
