Two hurt in Batavia crash

Two people were injured in a traffic accident in west suburban Batavia on Friday morning.

A gray Ford pickup and a white Chevrolet SUV crashed at the intersection of Route 31 and Fabyan Parkway about 11 a.m., according to Batavia police.

One driver had to be cut out of the vehicle, and was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, fire officials said. That person’s condition was not immediately known.

The second driver was taken to Delnor Hospital by relatives, and did not suffer severe injuries, officials said. Both drivers are adults, and there were no passengers in either vehicle.

Batavia police are asking any witnesses to the crash to contact Det. Tom Doggett at (630) 454-2500.
