A Chicago man recently won $1 million after purchasing a “$300,000,000 Cash Spectacular” lottery scratch ticket.

Raymond Kozicz purchased the ticket at Mare’s Mini Mart at 7850 W. Addison, according to the Illinois Lottery.

“This is the only store where I buy lottery tickets and the staff members were so happy for me when I won,” Kozicz said in a statement. “I am getting professional financial advice and investing this money wisely.”

Kozicz chose to take his prize as a one-time payment of $600,000, less taxes.
