A driver and passenger were able to jump out of their car before it was struck by a freight train Tuesday morning in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 5:05 a.m., the car stopped on the tracks in the 7600 block of South Wallace, police said.

The driver and passenger got out of the car before it was struck by the train, police said. No one was injured.
