Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old girl who went missing Saturday morning after leaving her home in the Portage Park neighborhood.

Lindsey Adams left a note for her parents saying that she was running away about 8 a.m. in the 4700 block of North Central, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

Adams is a 5-foot-1, 116-pound black girl with brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion, police said. She was last seen wearing a dark blue jean jacket, an orange and blue striped shirt, jeans and white gym shoes.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8261.
