A body pulled from the Calumet River on the Far South Side last month has been identified as a Southwest Side man.

Someone spotted the badly decomposed body in the water about 3:20 p.m. April 19 near 125th Street and Torrence Avenue, police said.

The man has since been identified as 59-year-old Daniel Killeen of the 6800 block of South Kedvale, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Killeen’s cause and manner of death have not been determined, with autopsy results pending, according to the medical examiner’s office.
