A 65-year-old woman died one day after a house fire Friday morning in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Gabrielle Donovan was injured in the fire about 4 a.m. in the 3500 block of North Milwaukee, the same block she lived in, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Donovan was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where she was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the medical examiner’s office said.

Donovan suffered smoke inhalation and burns, and her death was ruled an accident, according to an autopsy performed Monday.
