A 58-year-old woman riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash Monday afternoon in southwest suburban Romeoville.

An 82-year-old Plainfield woman was driving a vehicle southbound on Weber Road when she tried to make a left turn onto Grand Boulevard and struck an oncoming motorcycle that was northbound on Weber at 2:52 p.m., according to Romeoville police.

The cyclist, Pamela S. Jimenez of Romeoville, was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The other driver was also taken to Bolingbrook Hospital, police said. She was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.
