A chlorine leak at a west suburban Naperville swim school sent nine people to the hospital Friday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a call of a chemical spill about 10:20 a.m. at Goldfish Swim School in the 1600 block of Quincy Avenue, according to a statement from the Naperville Fire Department.
Nine people, with complaints ranging from nausea and vomiting to chest pain and shortness of breath, were taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, fire officials said. Nineteen people refused medical treatment.
The incident was under control by 11:40 a.m., fire officials said.
