More than 130 flights have been canceled at Midway and O’Hare Wednesday morning as fog continues to blanket the Chicago area.
More than 110 flights had been canceled at Midway as of 10:35 a.m. and airlines are experiencing varying delays, according to the city’s Dept. of Aviation.
At O’Hare, more than 20 flights have been canceled and flight delays are up to 15 minutes.
The National Weather Service’s dense fog advisory expired at 11 a.m., and the fog is expected to dissipate through the afternoon.
Some areas could see temperatures in the 80s, especially south of I-80, according to the weather service. A chance remains for a stray shower or storm across north central Illinois and northwest of the city, according to the weather service.
Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 80s across the entire Chicago area, but storms are expected to return for the weekend.
