Authorities identify man killed in Pullman crash

Authorities have released the name of a 66-year-old man killed in a crash involving a semi last week in the Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 12:25 a.m. on May 1, Victor Amy was driving a car eastbound on 103rd near Woodlawn when it smashed into a westbound semi that was turning left onto Interstate 94, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Amy, who lived about a mile away in the 0-100 block of East 103rd Street, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

No citations were issued to the semi driver, police said.
