A body was found in the North Branch of the Chicago River on the Northwest Side Monday morning, fire officials said.

The Chicago Fire Department Dive Team responded about 10:35 a.m. to the Chicago River near Peterson and Lincoln, according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.

The body was pulled out of the water, but additional details were not immediately available, Langford said.

Area North detectives are conducting a death investigation.
