A 25-year-old woman died when she fell off a railing from Upper Wacker to Lower Wacker Drive downtown early Sunday.

About 3:25 a.m., Genera Lee was leaning over the railing when she fell to the pavement in the 400 block of East Lower Wacker, according to police and the Cook County medical Examiner’s office.

Lee, of the 5700 block of South Damen, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

An autopsy Monday found she died from multiple blunt force injuries she suffered in the fall. Her death was ruled an accident.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
