Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a 52-year-old man dead Saturday evening in northwest suburban McHenry.

Scott M. Madda crashed his vehicle about 7:40 p.m. on Route 176, just north of Nish Road, according to a statement from the McHenry County coroner’s office.

Madda, of Waconda, was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
