An 18-year-old was hurt in a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in north suburban Evanston.

The woman was driving westbound in the 1700 block of Mulford Street about 12:45 p.m. when she struck a parked vehicle, which caused her car to flip over onto its roof, according to Evanston Police Cmdr. Joe Dugan.

The parked vehicle was pushed into another parked vehicle, Dugan said.

The woman was shaken up and suffered cuts to her leg, Dugan said. She was taken to Evanston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver told police she was putting her purse down on the floorboard of her car when the crash happened. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
