A man and a woman died Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash in rural DeKalb County.

Sandwich police responded to the crash in the 1200 block of East Route 32 about 4 a.m., police said.

Montgomery resident Savario G. Simmons, 23; and Sandwich resident Chastin Pawson, 25, were the only people in the car and both were dead at the scene, according to police and the DeKalb County coroner’s office.

Additional details about the crash were not known as of Monday afternoon. Sandwich is about 20 miles southwest of Aurora.
